Eduardo:
Thank you for being here Linda, let me start by introducing you this is Linda Hill, human resources manager at foremost call, a very successful virtual culture company, perhaps maybe you can give a little brief introduction of yourself if you want.

Linda:
Sure, like you said my name is Linda and I’ve been in human resources for quite a few years over 20 years, and I love my career and I love working with people here at foremost call. I have been very fortunate to find a great group of people to work with and to help them grow within their positions, and it has been a challenging position for me as I have never ever worked in a multicultural environment.

Eduardo:
Wonderful, thank you Linda, so, let me start from the beginning. What were you doing before we engaged, as it relates to HR? And what job openings were you trying to fill?

Linda:
Well prior to getting to know Larcons, I had reached out to several big firms recruiting firms to help me in the recruiting process being that we are in a unique area up here in winter garden and it is not as being in Orlando or anything like that. Trying to find qualified candidates was quite a challenge and like I said, I had reached out to several of the big firms to help us out, unfortunately it was not happening for us, I tried also advertising and that did not work out at all, I mean I got all kinds of resumes, dog groomers, hair stylist, you name it, I got it.

Eduardo:
Oh, that’s crazy so yeah that was going to be my next question. You know what problems were you having, you know when you were trying to fill those roles, and what strategies were you trying and what were your frustrations more importantly?

Linda:
Well, my frustrations were this; you receive 50, 60, 100 resumes, okay, and you look through them and you see, I mean although you’re very specific in your ads you’re just not getting the people. And even the way I wrote the ads it’s like this is what I’m looking for so why would I be receiving realtors and people that worked in cashiers. I know people were looking for jobs but those were not the people I was looking for. So, I will have to say I had to use a lot of my time over the weekend bringing resumes home to look through them, so, it was not only in the office, but also at home. So that was one of the challenges, the other one was finding the qualified people I mean being very specific as to these are the requirements, this is what I need you to have.

Eduardo:
Wonderful, yeah, and there I remember the first job description that I got from Yamasu, I was impressed I mean you write very well, your job descriptions are you know one of the best I’ve read in in my years in the industry. And if I may ask you, so where did you first hear about us and what picked your interests?

Linda:
Well, you know I received an email, and I said you know what this sounds very good let me go ahead, it’s you know what they say, it’s a perfect timing. The email comes in then I read
um some information I checked out the company online. I believe I even got a phone call that I never returned and then I just placed the call myself and I spoke to one of your employees and he was very thorough in the type of work that you did, and he was very sure that he’d help me. Yes, he wasn’t pushy, he wasn’t pushing me at all

Eduardo:
Wonderful, and why did you decide, I mean what was your decision-making process? why did you start working with us basically?

Linda:
Well, after speaking to him and then I spoke to you, and we had a long conversation about how my biggest problem was how are you really recruiting, being that I’m not doing that initial part or you’re the first contact with the candidate. I was thinking what are they asking, am I
going to go through all of this again? And then they’re going to not going to send me the right candidate so when I spoke to you, you reassured me what your protocols were, and what type of questions you were asking and I just felt very comfortable and I said well let’s go for it, Eduardo can help out and it seems like this is a more concise and question than what I’m looking for.

Eduardo:
Wonderful thank you so much for that and perhaps would you mind describing how it was working with us I mean what area perhaps did you get the most value and why do you think that is?

Linda:
Well, I believe that when you send me candidates and this was confirmed, when you send me candidates those candidates have been thoroughly interviewed, you have a history on them. It’s not just a set of questions, you know about the person that tells me, you took the time to ask questions that pertain to emotional intelligence never mind doing the job you can move block b to c to d, but not how do they fit an organization. Can they converse properly, can they write properly what is their experience, and when you sent me candidates that’s what I saw in each one of them, that what I was looking at was a true picture of the candidate.

Eduardo:
Wonderful, thank you, and what results did you achieve from working with us, how would you describe the transformation?

Linda:
Wonderful, first of all, I didn’t have to take home all those resumes which gave me some life during the weekend and during the week. I could actually focus on human resources
to the people that i had and doing some other things that are quite important human resources. Having candidates coming in through Larcons was a great experience because I knew that they were going to have the right background they were going to be a good fit for the position, and I was able to fill positions within less than 30 days. I knew I had the right candidate. By the time Ipresented candidates, let’s say three candidates to the management i knew those three were strong candidates it was just a matter of when we bring them in, what’s going to be the chemistry.

Eduardo:
Yeah, yeah perfect yeah, I think we placed on average, I think the the time too hire was around 26 days which i you know so i think you were happy with that.

Linda:

Eduardo:
Wonderful yeah you know, I was going to ask you know what what areas of your business improved and by how much? But i think you kind of answered that question perhaps the next question would be you know why do you think they’d improved your business by working with us?

Linda:
Well, first of all, the amount of time that it took to place the right candidate, to select that candidate, to bring them in, that’s time because that’s money, it’s my time it’s the employee’s time it’s the training and what have you. I mean it’s a lot of money that’s involved so cutting down the recruiting time and bringing in the right candidate was perfect besides the people that were placed in the position had the correct background education to come in and hit the ground running.

Eduardo:
Wonderful, thank you, and Linda how likely are you to recommend this I mean why should somebody listening to this video take action right now?

Linda:
Well, first of all, um I’m a very honest and straightforward person okay, and what I’m saying is because i’ve lived it, I’ve worked in humanresources for over 20 some years, I’ve had some great experiences throughout my career and I have to say that with Larcons it’s one of the top. Okay and especially for me being new in this area in Central Florida it has been wonderful that is the truth, why wouldn’t someone try Larcons when I’m saying here it took you less than 30 days to bring me the right candidate, why not?

Eduardo:
Wonderful thank you so much Linda, I appreciate it, now perhaps if you can get a little bit into the numbers and you could just give me ballparks. Do you have any idea perhaps what was your return on investment your ROI from working with us?

Linda:
Just yes, the ballpark of about 200 percent, yeah that’s what we usually experience with our clients.

Eduardo:
I guess we already talked about the time to hire, but how did your time to hire ratio improve, just ballpark again?

Linda:
When you say ratio, oh well let me tell you what it’s interesting that you should ask that question because some of the positions we’re taking anywhere between six months and a year that is the truth and doing this in 30 days phenomenal especially when you have four or five positions all running at the same time where you need to fill these positions and they’re key positions. I mean you can’t be depending on people that do different type of jobs to build one position you need to bring in the right person. So, by bringing the right person then you can move forward and allow the others to continue doing their jobs.

Eduardo:
Wonderful thank you, and last question I guess what else can we do to make your your life easier at work? Is there anything else any challenges you’re currently facing?

Linda:
Just don’t change what you’re doing, you’re doing a great job that’s what I would say.

Eduardo:
